League of Legends: Champion Roadmap TLDR
The Champion Roadmap brought a lot of insight for those of us in the community who like to theory craft about who the next champion could be or what the next rework will entail. The Champion Team will be slowing down on the release of new champions while upping the number of VGU releases which will help them breathe some life into some older champs.
Speaking of champions getting updated, the next champ in line for a large-scale VGU is Nunu and his lovable yeti Willump! Many players don't think that Nunu and Willump have aged well over the years and many players have been asking that the pair to be updated for a long time. People would like to see Nunu take a more active role in his own champion as his yeti actually does most of the heavy lifting. What would you like to see happen and what changes do you think would benefit Nunu to make him more viable all around?
Akali and Aatrox will also be getting updates. Akali’s shroud, mobility, and dual scaling all seem to be looking to stay. So don't worry Akali mains, I really don't think your girl will be changing that much. Aatrox is getting a slight visual upgrade in a new model and will be getting a shiny new voice over to go with his scary new look.
The only piece of information we got about a new champion was the advice to never turn our back on the sea with an interesting insight on the direction they’re taking with the new champ.
I personally think this counts out any kind river spirit like Nami and pushes us more in the direction of a water demon along the lines of Tahm Kench. Do you think that our new champion will have ties to Nagakabouros or do you think that our new champion - our new support - swims from darker waters?
That wraps it up for our first Champion Roadmap: TLDR! We hope you enjoyed it and we hope we were able to break it down and make it quick and easy to read and understand. Keep an eye out here for all your Champion update news and new Champion releases. Have fun on the rift, Summoners!
