UPDATE: Smallville's Allison Mack Has Been Arrested

Allison Mack has been arrested for her alleged involvement with the sex cult Nxivm.

Mack is facing 15 years in prison for allegedly grooming women to be sex slaves to cult leader of Nxivm, Keith Raniere. Raniere was arrested on March 26 in Mexico at a $10,000 a week villa he was renting.

Mack was with Raniere at the villa during the initial arrest and was a possible suspect in connection with Raniere and Nxivm. Mack met Raniere in 2005 at a seminar along with her Smallville co-star Kristen Kreuk. Kreuk is also said to have been a vital member of Nxivm, but she had severed all ties with Raniere and the cult in 2012.

"John Marzulli with the U.S. Attorney's office confirmed to CNN that Mack entered a not guilty plea." According to a statement issued by the Justice Department, Mack is being charged with "sex trafficking, sex trafficking conspiracy and forced labor conspiracy."

Allison Mack recruited women to join what was purported to be a female mentorship group that was, in fact, created and led by Keith Raniere,” stated United States Attorney Donoghue. “The victims were then exploited, both sexually and for their labor, to the defendants’ benefit.
