4-5 CONTENT Writers
Who Are You?
Someone who is as passionate about storytelling and grammar as they are about gaming/comics/anime/women's rights and eradicating sexism in geek culture.
Responsibilities
Create 1 article per week to:
Create at least 1 short-form, quality articles, listicles or quizzes per week dealing with variety of topics relating to geek culture, including the latest news and/or developments in geek culture, gaming, comics, cosplay, anime, STEM as well as cultural experiences from a woman's perspective.
Pitch articles with eye-catching headlines and brief synopsis.
Follow Ge'NeL's writing guide and submission guidelines.
Thoroughly research, cross-reference and properly cite sources within the article according to the AP Style Guide.
Have exceptional command of grammar and spelling.
Attend virtual meetings with the Ge'NeL team.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED
Knowledge of gaming, anime, comics outlets
Experience not necessary but preferred
Ability to work as a team or independently
Can manage time wisely
Social media coordinator
Who Are You?
A level 110 social media warlock with a healthy obsession with sharing info through the right channels. You know how to navigate Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest and Reddit.
Responsibilities
Work at least 2-3 hours a day at least 3 times a week to:
Develop, schedule and manage social media content/posts for channels utilizing
Contribute social media tactics to team brainstorming sessions
Track and analyze data generated by social media platforms and generate new ideas and/or ways to optimize campaigns
Update social media pages
Assist with reputation management and negative reviews
Respond to client messages/comments promptly
Grow fan base through research of social influencers, and outreach and engagement with new and existing followers

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
Ge'NeL is always interested in great nonfiction, fiction, and news. You must have a general familiarity with the brand and what we're looking for. Ensure you have a grasp of grammar, spelling and proper sourcing. Editors may clean up manuscripts while maintaining the integrity and voice of the author.
What we're currently looking for:
Stories about women and girls in STEM, women-led comics, video games, etc.
Personal stories of friendship, gaming adventures, handling sexual harassment, fandoms, etc.
How-to videos, fun, meme-worthy, video stories, incredible gameplay, etc.
