Steampunk Adventure Black Skylands Soars Out of Steam Early Access

After two years in early access the steampunk adventure from tinyBuild and Hungry Couch, Black Skylands, will finally be available for full launch this summer. Black Skylands follows the story of Eva, a young and brave pilot, and her trusty moth Luma as they explore the world of Aspya. Together, they face off against enemy pirates and unknown dangers hidden in the clouds.

Black Skylands features a combination of aerial and ground fighting tactics, with players using dozens of upgradeable weapons from their arsenal. As they progress, players can gather resources and upgrade their flying base, create powerful artifacts, tinker in the workshop, construct buildings, and farm the land. They can also improve their ship by choosing from a maneuverable sloop, a spacious barge, or something in between that fits their playstyle.

Some of the most significant updates that Black Skylands received during its time in Early Access include the addition of 30 swarmlit amulets, new upgrade systems, new islands, enemies, and bosses, as well as a rewritten storyline. Players can also customize their arsenal to fit their playstyle with tons of weapons modifications and abilities. Being strategic in how weapons and airships are modified is essential as players will need to be prepared to fight on both land and in the skies.

In addition to the new updates, Black Skylands offers an expansive open world for players to explore. They can travel through forests, farms, snowy lands, and corrupted desert islands, and discover things no one has ever seen before. Once players have finished the main storyline, they can take on tons of different challenges, destroy hordes of enemies, and get unique rewards by going on raids to test themselves.

The game's top-down perspective is visually stunning, and the soundtrack perfectly captures the steampunk feel of the game. Black Skylands is a game that is sure to keep players engaged for hours on end, with its combination of exploration, combat, and crafting. The game's story is also well-crafted, with engaging characters and a world that feels alive.
