GNL Magazine is a small, independent publication and our views are not representative of our advertisers.

GNL is deeply heartbroken from witnessing the continued escalation of violence against Palestinian people in Gaza and the West Bank and their subjugation to apartheid. We wish for the Palestinian people to be free from the river to the sea. For information on the history of the occupation and settlement of Palestine, visit The Palestine Academy.

Our hearts also break for the continued colonization and slavery of the people of the Democratic Republic of Congo by the US, UK, Israel, and France. We will share resources and information as they become available.

Bodily autonomy, due process, and the right to privacy are being threatened across the United States with the Supreme Court’s reversal of Roe v. Wade. Overturning Roe v. Wade will only accelerate unsafe abortions in states where abortions will now become illegal. Politicians and partisan Supreme Court Justices have already voiced their intention to also ban contraception and some would also like to criminalize the use of pregnancy prevention, such as IUDs. Please consider donating to NARAL: Pro-Choice America, to support reproductive freedom for everybody—to fight for access to abortion care, birth control, paid parental leave, and protections from pregnancy discrimination.

Geeky Nerdy Ladies is a woman-centric video game and geek culture website that cares deeply about normalizing marginalized groups in geek and gaming spaces. We’re all gamers who play video games for fun and to escape the harsh realities of the world. NO ONE should have to experience racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, or xenophobia while trying to relax in a virtual world. It already sucks having to experience those things in the real world, but experiencing them in the games we love means there’s no escape.

It’s not just “trolling” and there is absolutely nothing funny about discrimination and racism. We need more people to stand up and speak up and call out those who perpetuate racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, and xenophobia in our gaming community. If you have a story, let us share your voice.
