The Game of Fourtune is a Visual Novel That’s Drop-Dead Fun

The Game of Fourtune is a character-driven story about coworkers Clyde Raveron and his coworker Devon Rhodes being forced to compete with 14 other strangers in a series of sick and twisted games of life and death.

Clyde is a dishwasher at a local pizza joint. Though he’s incredibly intelligent, he’s had a streak of bad luck and joins the Game of Fourtune competition to make money to care for his sick mother. His coworker, Devon is an upbeat, cheery girl who joins Devon in the competition to help him win. But the competition is more dangerous than they thought. Deadly, actually.

This visual novel from Blacklock Games was inspired by Netflix’s Original Series Alice in Borderland.

As a fan of death games in all sorts of forms, I wanted to create my own spin on them and contribute to the genre that I loved. Especially Alice in Borderland, I wanted to create a game setting with an interesting cast of characters that would react differently to the death games, to each other, to events that happen in their world. To break down and to rise up.
— Kenneth Norris, BlackLock Games

The deadly Game of Fourtune takes place in a “complex world” run by an underground criminal syndicate, The Digits of Eden, where contestants are forced to outsmart each other through scheming and fighting.
